KARACHI: The Sindh Education Department on Monday handed over 1st year admission forms to Sindh Bank branches in Karachi in order to facilitate students, who are facing problems in downloading the forms from education department website.
The education department introduced Sindh E-Centralized College Admission Program (SECCAP) for admissions in colleges for 2014-15 after replacing it with the Centralized Admission Policy (CAP) that was introduced in 2000 by the provincial education department.
A total of 102,950 seats are available in six faculties this year and the Sindh education minister spokesman said that 50% of the forms had been taken by students through online system.
He said that along with online system, the forms could also be attained from Sindh Bank branches in the city after submitting Rs 60. He said that the last date of the submission is 25 August 2014.
The spokesman said that central policy for admissions would not be changed and the admissions would be given only on merit only.
