Career fare organized

KARACHI: Faculty of Management and Administrative Sciences organized a career fare to uphold the Karachi University’s tradition of providing a ubiquitous platform of extensive employment opportunities to the students of Management Sciences.

The Dean of Management and Administrative Sciences – Prof. Dr. Khalid M. Iraqi nurtured the initiative. The career fare featured organizations from academic, industrial, financial and banking sectors of Pakistan. Around 19 local and multinational companies staged their stalls to guide the students about the future opportunities.

The ceremony kicked off with the greeting speech of the Chairman of KUBS – Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman Zaki followed by the ribbon cutting ceremony. He opened the event with his welcome address and expressed his profoundest gratitude to Prof. Dr. Iraqi for helping and guiding the students in organizing this mega event.

He also thanked the corporate guests and wished good luck to all students for exciting job opportunities at career fare. Chairman of Commerce Department – Dr. Tahir Ali, Lecturer from DPA – Mr. Mustafa Hyder and other faculty members of management sciences were also present at the event. Prof. Dr. Zaki had visited all career stalls and took feedback about the students from hiring managers. Students from Karachi University Business School (KUBS), Department of Public Administration (DPA) and Commerce participated in the career fare with avid enthusiasm. The students found many opportunities to take an assessment to determine career fit, interview with hiring managers and learn more about the career options beyond their majors at career fare – 2015.

Employers visited the university at campus in hopes of attracting some of the brightest talent of Management Sciences and shared their positive responses with teachers present at the event. The highly interactive and magnificent career fare concluded with a simple certificate distribution ceremony where the names of the successful candidates were also announced at the closing of the event.
