CCBS-UoK holds its 19th Executive Board meeting

KARACHI: The 19th Executive Board Meeting of International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi (UoK) was held at HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry on Wednesday.

Vice Chancellor University of Karachi Prof. Dr. Mohammad Qaiser presided over the meeting. Addressing the meeting, Director ICCBS Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Chaudhary categorically stated that the International Centre was as an integral part of the University of Karachi.

Conversely, the executive board unanimously resolved that ICCBS was an integral part of University of Karachi, and the press reports showing the institution was separating itself from the University were completely incorrect. The Executive Board Meeting was well attended by Vice Chancellor University of Karachi Prof. Dr. Mohammad Qaiser, ICCBS Patron-in-Chief Prof. Dr. Atta-ur-Rahman

Miana, Mr. Aziz Latif Jamal, Ms. Nadira Panjwani, Ms. Nadira Panjwani, Prof. Dr. Kauser Abdulla Malik and the University Registrar Prof Dr Moazzam Ali Khan.

Dr Iqbal Chaudhary said, “ICCBS is functioning strictly according to its statutes which have been approved by the Syndicate and the Senate of the University of Karachi. The international centre was governed by its Executive Board, chaired by Vice Chancellor University of Karachi, and comprised of the representative of syndicate, dean faculty of sciences, dean faculty of medicine, registrar, and two donors Mr. Aziz Latif Jamal and Ms. Nadira Panjwani, and eminent scientists.”
