Christmas cake-cutting ceremony held at RAC

RAWALPINDI: In connection with Christmas Day celebrations, a Christmas cake-cutting ceremony was arranged at Rawalpindi Arts Council in the honour of Christian community.

Member Punjab Assembly Raja Mohammad Hanif Advocate flanked by Naheed Manzoor, Resident Director Waqar Ahmed and leaders from Christian community was chief guest.

Addressing on the occasion, MPA Raja Mohammad Hanif said that they congratulate Christian brotherhood and feel pleasure in sharing their joy and cheerfulness.

He said that that Islam teaches the lesson of peace, friendship and the promotion of inter-faith harmony which is dire need of the hour. He added that the Christian community is an important part of our society and are extending significant services in the sectors of education, health and other fields of life.

Naheed Manzoor, Resident Director Waqar Ahmed also addressed and congratulated to Christian community. Member Punjab Assembly Raja Mohammad Hanif Advocate, Naheed Manzoor, Resident Director Waqar Ahmed and leaders from Christian community cut the Christmas cake. At the end, a special prayer was also offered for the peace and prosperity of the country.
