City violence: Girl found dead with her body cut into pieces; six injured

KARACHI: A 21-year-old girl was found dead with her body cut into pieces, while six other people were injured in different violence incidents in the metropolis on Wednesday.

Rescue sources said that the body of an unidentified girl was found near K-Electric office in Malir Nullah. They said the girl was brutally killed and her body was cut into pieces. Malir police took the body under their custody and shifted it to police station for legal formalities.

In another violence incident, a youth, Fazeel, 20, son of Raees Ahmad, a resident of Landhi, was injured by unknown gunmen near Malir Court. He was rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment.

Another youth, Abdul Hakim, 19, son of Abdul Qayum, a resident of Shireen Jinnah Colony, was shot and injured near Faiz Rahman Hospital in Metroville, Site area. He was brought to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for treatment.

Iqbal, 35, son of Ghulam Qadir, was injured by unknown gunmen in Pirabad area of Banaras. He was shifted to ASH for treatment.

A man, Safdar, 33, son of Wahid Bakhsh, was injured when unidentified gunmen opened fire on him near United Hotel in Liaquatabad No. 9. He was shifted to ASH for treatment.

Yet in another firing incident, two youth, Anwar Hussain, 24, and Hamidur Rehman, 18, were shot and injured by unknown armed men in Gulshan Zia Colony in Orangi Town. They were brought to ASH for treatment.
