Cleanliness campaign kicked off in East

KARACHI: Administrator District Municipal Corporation East Syed Salahuddin Ahmed on Wednesday inaugurated a cleanliness campaign from and established a Quick response Service (QRS) to improve sanitary conditions of the area.

The green and peaceful Sindh campaigning was started with sweeping of streets, spraying pesticides and painting of electricity poles.

In regard of QRS, a team will be formed comprised on 30 to 40 employees, who would ensure immediate action on citizens’ complaints.

Administrator instructed the officers of Municipal Regulation Department to issue notices people who dump construction material, debris and other thing on roads and streets, which create hurdles for traffic and pedestrians.

He said that cleanliness drive has been started by using all available resources and manpower. He appealed the citizens not to dump their garbage outside their homes.
