CM announces more incentives for police elite force

Peshawar: KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has approved immediate release of Rs. 50 million for urgent logistic needs of police force as well as assured to cater all other needs of the force on emergent basis. He also sanctioned Rs. 15 thousand each for the elite force monthly allowance and increasing its number and strength as well.

This he announced in a briefing of IG Police Nasir Khan Durrani for chairman PTI Imran Khan during inspection of the training exercises of male and female police commandos at Police Training School Nowshera. These incentives were also strongly recommended by Imran Khan during the briefing.

IGP Nasir Durrani on this occasion extended heartiest thanks to the Chief Minister for his patronage and release of colossal funds to strengthen police force from straw during last one and half years of time as well as helping in establishing new departments and starting advanced training courses for the police jawans.

Pervez Khattak termed it good omen that our male and lady police commandos were equipped with latest training skills on the pattern of Pak Army that also included the use of heavy and far targeting weapons like RPG-7, RPG-12.7 and AGL. Similarly he said the additional skill of combating with terrorists and criminal elements would further improve the performance of our police force.

He on this occasion revealed that Elite Forest Force was being established in Environment department on the pattern of Police Force wherein Jawans of Police Elite Force would be deployed on deputation to enable them combat the mighty timber mafia and thus to ensure protection of our forest reservoirs that provided fresh oxygen to the million of human beings and animals in our cities and villages.

Both the leaders while expressing satisfaction over the briefing said that freeing the police force from black sheep and streamlining it for maintenance of law & order were our prime goals.

They asserted that PTI-led coalition govt faced the inherited challenges of terrorism, unrest, Bhatta mafia and other heinous social crimes wherein strengthening police force was essential and the only option to achieve the desired results. “Thanks to God that we are successfully marching ahead in achieving our hard goals and if our police performed with same spirit then the dream of welfare society free from all ends of unrest and crimes will soon be realized”, Pervez Khattak said adding that our police would greatly contribute in translating the vision of change envisaged by Imran Khan and ensuring supremacy of law, merit and justice in the province as desired by our people.
