QUETTA: Our brave armed forces despite small in numerical strength caused colossal loss to enemy 50 years ago. Entire nation stood with the armed forces then and encouraged it.

This was stated by Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch while addressing Yom e Shuhada ceremony at Samungli air base here Sunday.

Commander Southern Command Lt General Nasser Khan Janjua, Chief Secretary Saifullah Chatha, IG FC major General Sher Afgun, IG Police Mohammad Amlish, senior civil and military officers were also present.

Chief Minister said today’s day is very important for us because on this day jawans of Pakistan Army by sacrificing their lives had made Pakistan a strong state. It is important for us to safeguard it at every level.

He said if we wage joint struggle enemy cannot cause any loss to us. He said Pakistan has come into existence to live forever. There is need nation should get untied for security of geographical and ideological frontiers of the country and stand before anti state elements. He aid particularly we have to repledge our commitment that we would prove rock for the defence of motherland and stand shoulder to shoulder with armed forces for security of our borders.

He said 50 years ago our brave forces despite small in numerical strengthen than enemy foiled its evil designs and caused colossal loss to it. At that teem nation was with our armed forces and enhanced its morale.

Dr Malik Baloch said today armed forces were busy in Zarb e Azb against terrorism and recoding victories. Armed forces had rendered supreme sacrifices in 1965 and it was also doing so in war against terror. Nation is proud to its armed forces.

He said if we maintain unity among our ranks enemy cannot dare to cast evil eye on us.

Chief Minister prayed may Allah defend our country and provide us courage for its security and development.
