CM for not dissolving Assembly

Peshawar: KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has said that the PTI government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has no threat from any side including opposition while his party chief Imran Khan has already made it clear that the KP assembly will not be dissolved.

Talking to media in Islamabad, he said that after filing of no-confidence motion, the opposition did not requisite the session of the provincial assembly as they are lacking majority. However, he said he was going to convening a session of the provincial assembly shortly to show our majority.

To a question he said that neither PTI nor KP assembly has any forward block in respect of his condition govt. He said that there will be difference of opinion and none of their legislator will revolt. He said that three members of National Assembly from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had not tendered their resignations, but on very next day they submitted it with party leadership along with reasonable explanation.

The Chief Minister said that all members of KP assembly have been elected on merit and if there was any allegation of rigging then instead of protecting itself our government well prefer for re-election. He said that the government, which come into power through rigged polls could not serve the people and they will have to compromise time and again on the public interest.

To a question regarding the wrong doings of the past, he said that cleansing of the dirt of previous governments will take time. He said that his govt is rooting all cancers including corruption out, saying PTI is implementing its manifesto in letter and spirit.

Confident of the success, he said that his coalition govt will remain triumphant before the people and will not take rest till changing the system, which is the top need of the poor people.

Pervez Khattak said that PTI-led coalition govt is taking their steps forward according to its game-plan, saying they have no personal interest, but larger national and public interest. Therefore, he said they have no concern regarding their personal interest.

However, he said concern is for those who wanted to come into through any mean and for this purpose they even chose backdoor and indulge in hatching undemocratic and immoral conspiracies.

He said that like corruption their party also has zero-tolerance to rigging and if there was any allegation of electoral rigging in his province then his govt would have make no delay in re-election. He clarified that besides having constitutional protection, the provincial government is strong and stable enough and has no threat from any one including opposition.
