This was stated by Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch while addressing closing session of 3-day international Pashto Seminar here Monday.
He said Allah almighty has blessed human being with language so having regard for it we should play our role for its development and promotion.
He said there prevails an impression Balochi, Pashto and Brahvi languages would eliminate some day. To dispel this impression youth, intellects and writers have to play their role
Chief Minister said 21st Century is century of nations in which nations and languages would become stronger than being eliminated. He said no nation was ready to become Red Indians in present era. Present coalition government from day one started patronage of languages and extended full assistance to literary organizations and artistes within its available resources. Balochi Academy grant was enhanced to Rupees five million and that of Brahvi and Pashto Academies to Rupees 10 million annually from Rupees one million.
He said our elders were political and had love with literature. Khan Shaheed, Gul Khan Naseer and Abdullah Jan Jamaldini guided the nation and faced dictators and tolerated imprisonment.
He said world’s best books are being translated into Balochi language.. Pashto Academy should also pay special attention on translation of literature.
He said present government has also made legislation for inclusion of mother languages into educational curriculum. He said we should also include our culture in our curriculum.
Malik Baloch announced rupees two million for the International Pashto Seminar.
He also distributed shields among the participants of seminar.
