Peshawar: KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has taken very strong notice of the rape incident of an innocent girl in Mansehra and has directed district administration and police high-ups for giving no heed to any kind of pressure or influence to bring all alleged accused of the sorrowful incident to justice and award them exemplary punishment.
He further directed the accelerated disposing of the case so that the accused could not find opportunity for prolonging the case through delaying tactics. The decision instead of days should be made in hours, he added.
District Police Officer (DPO) Mansehra Dr. Khurram Bashir while briefing the chief ministers about details and progress on the incident told that all three accused of the sorrowful rape case of the innocent F.Sc. student have been arrested, which also include her female friend, who tricked the innocent girl in the name of dropping her house.
Similarly, he said another accused which was immediately escaped to Haripur has also been arrested during a police raid there. He said all accused have been arrested within a period of 12 years and their DNA tests have also been conducted and now all witnesses will be presented in the court of law to award them exemplary punishment.
Pervez Khattak while expressing satisfaction over the speedy arrest of the accused warned that in case of any minor mistake till the conclusion of the case district administration and police high ups will be held responsible as the provision of protection and justice to the people at local level is their duty and in case of the committing of any crime, the accused should be brought to justice to make them example for others and in future no one even dare to think or commit such crime. He clarified that no pressure or influence would be accepted in this incident and detailed report should be furnished to him forthwith.
