CM visits Hazara Town

QUETTA: Police and law enforcement agencies have made important progress during past 48 hours to reach to elements involved in regretful incidents of terrorism took place on Thursday last. All resources would be mobilized to make Quetta a safe city Provincial Home Minister has been given task. Security to life and property is our responsibility and we are fully committed to fulfill this.

These views were expressed by Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch while speaking to members of bereaved families killed in Hazarganji firing incident during his visit to Hazara Town here Saturday.

Chief Minister accompanied by provincial ministers Sarfraz Bugti, Nawab Ayaz Jogezai, Nawab Muhammad Khan Shahwani, Rehmat Saleh Baloch, Sardar Mustafa Tareen, Adviser on Finance Khalid Langav, Adviser Sardar Raza Muhammad Barech, MPA Sardar Saleh Bhotani, Chief Secretary Saifullah Chatha, IG Police Amlish Khan, Commissioner Quetta Qambar Dashti, CCPO Abdul Razzaq Cheema and other senior officers had arrived Hazara Town to condole with Hazara community and express solidarity with them.

Chief Minister said his visit here along with political and tribal elders is to express sympathy with Hazara community and to make them realize Government and people of the province fully share their grief. He said we are definitely passing through tough and difficult period about law and order. Owing to government measures there is very well improvement in law and order situation in 29 districts of the province but this situation is not satisfactory in two districts including Quetta.

Reiterating his commitment about law and order in Quetta City Dr Malik Baloch said we have to save Quetta and as much as resources needed for it would be mobilized. He said Home Minister has been given task to give true shape to implement concept of making Quetta city safe and police and other concerned agencies would fully assist him. He said we want to improve law and order situation in the province particularly two districts including Quetta sincerely. No deliberate mistake or dishonesty would be made in this regard. Hazara community would be taken into confidence during steps for improving law and order situation and strategy would be prepared.

He said all those living in Balochistan are Balochistanis irrespective of nation and tribe. We all are one and would fight against war on terror jointly. He asked the people to consider it their own war because without it terrorists cannot be defeated.

He said besides viewing law and order situation, incidents of terror in Thursday and to evolve strategy for making fool proof security measures during Ashura Muharram eight hours long meeting was held which was attended by officials from all concerned quarters.

Dr Malik assured that more effective and comprehensive security measures would be made this Muharram as in previous and consultation would be made with Hazara Community and Balochistan Shia conference in this regard. He said Hazara Community is literate, envisioned and hard working. Despite repeated incidents they have shown patience. He also assured that besides complete security to Hazara people their other problems would also be resolved on priority.

Earlier President Balochistan Shia Conference Syed Daud Agha thanked Chief Minister and members of his cabinet for visiting Hazara Town and said it has enhanced their morale. He said there is no sectarianism prevails in the country particularly in Balochistan and there is brotherhood and solidarity among all the nations.

MPA Syed Raza speaking on the occasion apprised Chief Minister of apprehensions and reservations of Hazara people. Fateha was also offered on the occasion for those killed in Hazarganji.
