SIALKOT: Punjab Social Protection Authority would issue Punjab CM’s Khidmat Cards to 783 local selected handicapped persons in Sialkot district here.
Sialkot District Coordination Officer (DCO) Dr. Asif Tufail told that the said Khidmat Cards and mobile phone SIMs would be issued to the selected handicapped persons during the special ceremonies to be held in Sialkot district’s all the four Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur tehsils here on August 14, 2015 on the eve of National Independence Day.
DCO added that 385 handicapped persons under the age of 18 years and 398 such persons above the age of 18 years would get Punjab CM’s Khidmat Cards with mobile phone SIMs and these selected persons would be able to get Rs.1200 per month after the every three months through the short message service (SMS) on their mobile phones.
DCO revealed that district administration of Sialkot has established Khidmat Cards issuing centres at Govt. Sardar Begum Memorial Teaching Hospital Sialkot, THQ hospitals in Daska and Sambrial and at Govt. College for Elementary Education Pasrur for the facilitation of the local handicapped people.
EDO(Finance) Sialkot Shuja Qutab has been appointed as a focal person, in this regard.
Earlier, the DCO Dr. Asif Tufail reviewed in detail the arrangements during an important meeting held here today.
EDO (Health) Sialkot Dr. Javaid Warraich, EDO (Finance) Sialkot Shuja Qutab, Assistant Commissioner Sambrial Dr. Rani Hafsa Kanwal, Assistant Commissioner Pasrur Tauqeer Ilyas Cheema and other officials also attended the meeting.
