COAS: (I don’t believe in extension, will retire on due date: Army Chief)

ISLAMABAD: The Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), General Raheel Sharif on Monday said that national interest is supreme and will be safeguarded at all costs.

In a statement, he said efforts to root out terrorism will continue with full vigour and resolve. The Chief of Army Staff said Pakistan Army is a great institution and he will retire on due date as he does not believe in extension.

Meanwhile, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa said that speculations about extension in the service of Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif are baseless.
