Commissioner chairs law and order meeting

QUETTA: A high level meeting chaired by Commissioner Quetta Davison Qambar Dashti reviewed law and order situation and security arrangements here Tuesday.

Regional Police Officer Sardar Abdul Hameed Durrani, Commandant Ghaza Band Scouts Col Maqbool Shah, Additional Commissioner Quetta Muhammad Qasim Mengal, Deputy Commissioners Killa Abdullah, Pishin Noshki, Chagai, DPOs Noshki, Chaman, Pishin and other law enforcement agencies officers were present.

Besides reviewing law and order situation in Quetta division it also took decision of taking joint action against terrorist elements and security of important installations, security to life and property of people, and to meet any act of terrorism. It also decided that search operation would be launched in need be at the entry and exit points of Quetta division besides conducting strict checking. All law enforcement agencies would make further effective system of exchange of information and cooperation.

It was directed to setup control room in every district to develop mutual coordination. Representatives of administration and law enforcement agencies would remain present at these control rooms. In case of emergency district police officer would monitor all situation to control so that problems do not come up. District control rooms would remain in contact with provincial control rooms and movement of people in border areas should be specifically monitored.

People have been appealed to immediately inform law enforcement agencies of the movement and suspected goods. Complete scrutiny of Inns, hotels, rented houses and musafir-khanas and it should be made further effective and improve it.

Administration and police should jointly work for law and order irrespective of B and B areas.
