Commissioner visits Urdu Dictionary Board

KARACHI: Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui said on Wednesday that the attention of federal government would be requested towards appointment of head and chief editor of Karachi Urdu Dictionary Board to make alive this important institute of national language.

Siddiqui visited the board on a request of governing body of Anjuman Taraqqi e Urdu Pakistan (ATUP) to review the poor situation of the institute.

Secretary ATUP Dr Fatima Hassan, while asking his help in this regard, informed the commissioner that the posts of head and chief of the institute have been lying vacant for many years affecting the performance of the institute.

The commissioner ensured that being a government servant he would try his best to improve the financial and management issues of the institute.
