Construction of five Iranian hospitals in Sindh lauded

KARACHI: Provincial Minister for Health Dr Mehtab Hussain Dahar on Thursday thanked the Iranian government for building five hospitals in flood affected areas of Sindh province for mothers and children care.

He termed the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Sindh and Iranian government a milestone in the history of the brotherly countries of Pakistan and Iran.

In a statement issued here, Dr Mehtab said that the Iranian government is building five hospitals in areas affected in floods of year 2010 including Khairpur, Badin, Thatta, Shaheed Benazirabad and Larkana which would benefit mothers and children.

He said a 40-bed hospital at Khairpur has been inaugurated while hospitals in Badin, Thatta, Shaheed Benazirabad and Larkana are near completion. This support of Iranian government will improve brotherly relations between the people of Pakistan and Iran, he concluded.
