Karachi: Project Director, Establishment of Medical Colleges Sindh, Dr Abdul Majeed Chhutto, has said that the construction of new medical colleges was under way in different district of Sindh province, while construction of a medical college in Karachi was in final stage and would be completed in December 2014.
Chhutto said construction of medical college in Landhi area of Karachi was in progress with speed work and it would be completed by December 2014. He said admission in the medical college would be started with the completion of project. He said a 500-bed hospital would also establish in Karachi with the cost of Rs 700 million.
He said two other medical colleges would be established in Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas districts and they would be completed in 2016. He said 500-bed hospital would also be established in Hyderabad. He said all projects would be completed with the cost of Rs 5 billion
He said with completion of these projects would improve the medical education standard in province and people would get treatment facilities at local level.
