Convict likely to be hanged to death on Tuesday

LARKANA: A man, Munwar Narejo, is expected to be hanged to death in Central Prison, Larkana, on Tuesday.

In a court, he was found guilty of killing two persons – Ahmed Khan Korejo and Aslam Korejo in 2001 outside their village Ghulam Qadir Koreja after kidnapping them from a paddy field.

In this connection, the relatives of the accused led by Syed Misry Shah, brother of the accused Imtiaz Narejo, Naimat Narejo, Mazhar Narejo and others, were trying to save the life of the accused and they went to the heirs of the deceased on Monday holding Holy Book in their hands and met Mohammad Nawaz Korejo, father of Ahmed Khan Korejo, who was gunned down, but they were refused pardon as saying that if the heirs of other deceased are pardoning them then talks could be held.

Then they went to the heirs of Aslam Korejo and met his father Anwar Korejo. He also refused to accept their excuse and did not pardon the accused person. The notables returned empty handed. Even then they were busy in trying their utmost to save the life of jailed man.
