Corps Commander Karachi calls on Qaim

KARACHI: Corps Commander Karachi Lieutenant General Naveed Mukhtar called on Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah here at CM House Friday.

In the meeting they discussed issues pertaining to National Action Plan and operation against terrorists. They also discussed the decisions taken in the Apex Committee to further tighten the noose around the terrorists.

The chief minister said that implementing the Apex Committee decisions, he had approved the establishment of 10 more Anti-Terrorism Court (ATCs) in Karachi and Minister of Interior has also been requested to direct wireless broadband companies to register their customers through biometric system.

The Corps Commander expressed satisfaction on the implementation of the Apex Committee decisions and also said that with the strengthening of prosecution system the terrorists would not be able to get away.

The chief minister reaffirmed his commitment for proper implementation of the National Action Plan and continuing of operation against terrorists without any hindrance, says a CM House handout.
