CS chairs meeting of PDWP

Peshawar: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) in its meeting held under the chairmanship of Khalid Pervez, Additional Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday approved 21 development projects with an estimated cost of Rs. 5930.662 million. The meeting was attended by the Administrative Secretaries and senior staff of P&D, Finance, Environment, C&W, LG&RD, Agriculture, Elementary & Secondary Education, Energy & Power, Food, Health, Higher Education, Home, PHE & Industries Department.

The approved projects included establishment of Poultry Diseases Investigation and Vaccines Production Centre at Peshawar subject to availability of land free of cost at a cost of Rs. 50.000 million, construction of Khan Abdul Wali Khan Multiplex in Civil Secretariat Peshawar (Revised) at a cost of Rs. 394.591, Water Supply Scheme Risalpur, District Nowshera (Revised) at a cost of Rs. 112.773 million, construction of Water Supply Schemes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Revised) at a cost of Rs. 2036.495 million, completion of PHED incomplete water supply schemes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (23 Nos) (Revised)  at a cost of Rs. 329.578 million. Establishment of GGHS Comboh, GGHS Dir Colony, GGHS Hasan Garhi and rehabilitation of GHS Nanak Pura in PK-I Peshawar at cost of Rs. 152.000 million, construction of Office & Residential building at Shishi Hydel Station Chitral at cost of Rs. 51.000 million, consultancy to study and examine the transfer of PESCO management to Govt: of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at a cost of Rs. 10.000 million PC-II for establishment of Tax Felicitation Centres and Excise Offices in 4 Districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at cost of Rs. 21.300 million, construction of Food Directorate Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at cost of Rs. 139.496 million, purchase of 61 Kanal & 18 marla land for GDC Pabbi Nowshera at a cost of Rs. 13.105 million, provision of funds as non ADP scheme at a cost of Rs. 11.772 million, revised PC-I for Impact Assessment / Validation of De-Radicalized Emancipation Programme at a cost of Rs. 263.000 million, construction of building for 2nd GCMS at Mardan (Revised) at a ost of Rs. 230.749 million, Special Initiatives Programme for District Nowshera at a cost of Rs. 200.00 million,  Reforms Initiative in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sh:-Project Management Unit for Implementation of Ehtisab Commission (Revised) at a cost of Rs. 57.862 million, PC-II for the work “Designing / feasibility of I, Improvement & Rehabilitation of Dodaba to Sheringal Sawni Road 15-KM including 03 nos Bridges, construction of RCC Bridge at Kotkay U/C Sultan Khel (77 KM) Span Dir Upper under ADP No. 820 (2013-14) at a cost of Rs. 8.832 million, rehabilitation and Improvement of Road Network in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

ADP No. 323/120754 (2013-14), Sh: Impt: and Widening of Road from Utmanzai Branch to Mir Abad Pul via Sarki Shakh No. 5 Phase-II District Charsadda (8 KM) at a cost of Rs. 116.081 million, development works under Swabi package (Revised) at a cost of Rs. 694.074 million, construction of 13 Nos RCC Bridges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Sh: construction of RCC Bridge at Kaudaro in (PK-27) District Mardan, (Revised) at a cost of Rs. 72.245 million, Improvement & Widening of Malang Baba-Nizampur Road, Nowshera at a cost of Rs. 965.709 million.

Approval of the project Energy Audit of Civil Secretariat and Conversion to Solar Electrification was deferred with the instruction to the department to propose it on pilot basis for only one department. The Health Department withdraw the project for “purchase of equipment for Category-A, 4 Category-C and 4 Category-D Hospitals of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (DIK, Kalabat, Dargai, Lahor Swabi, Sarai Naurang, Jani Khel Bannu, Havelian, Totakan, Thana Malakand)”.

The PDWP will meet again on 15th May, 2014 to consider the remaining six projects on the agenda.
