CS for expediting KCR project

KARACHI: Chief Secretary Sindh Sajjad Saleem Hotiana on Thursday asked the Secretary Transport Talha Ahmed Farooqui to speed up the Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) project in view of public transport problem being faced by Karachiites.

He also advised the officials of Board of Revenue, Karachi administration and Sindh finance department to coordinate with the provincial transport department and Karachi Urban Transport Company (KUTC) to ensure speedy development work on KCR.

He said this while presiding over a meeting on KCR at his office. Senior Member Board of Revenue Alam Din Bullo, Secretary Industries Shazia Rizmi, Secretary Finance Suhail Rajput, Talha Ahmed Farooqui and Additional Commissioner-I Muhammad Aslam Khoso were also present.

Hotiana categorically noted that all issues pertaining to KCR must be resolved by improving liaison amongst the relevant nation-building departments. He also emphasized upon removal of encroachments on the KCR track. He demanded report on the issues of KCR from managing director KCR within a week.
