CS for restoring water supply in Kharar Canal

Karachi: Chief Secretary Sindh Sajjad Saleem Hotiana on Thursday forwarded a complaint of people belonging to eight villages of Kharar Canal area in Thatta district to the secretary irrigation to resolve water shortage issue.

The compliant reported that villagers have been facing water scarcity since last one year. They requested that for cleaning Kharar Canal for forthcoming rice crop which could be damaged if water supply is not restored.

The chief Secretary asked the secretary irrigation to rid people of hardships and submit the report within three days. The matter has been referred to the secretary irrigation through the complaint cell of CS.

It has been reported in the complaint that the irrigation personnel are responsible for artificial water shortage in canal that could affect seriously rice crop.
