KARACHI: Chief Secretary Sindh Sajjad Saleem Hotiana has taken a serious notice of water shortage in specific area of Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block-1, it is disconnected due to unknown reason for last one year.
The residents of Houses No. A-508 to A-5013 and A-102 to A-14 of Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block-1 have submitted a complaint to Chief Secretary that they had been deprived of water for the last one year despite paying the KWSB monthly bills. “The KWSB management have still not resolved the issue, though many requests have been made. Hence the KWSB authorities may kindly be instructed to restore water supply with provision of water tankers for fulfilling the water requirement,” they said in the complaint.
Hotiana viewed the matter seriously and issued orders to MD KWSB to provide immediate relief to residents.
Meanwhile, chief secretary also directed the administrative secretaries and heads of the relevant departments and institutions to give priority to the public complaints so as to facilitate them by resolving their issues as soon as possible. He ordered this during a meeting at his office this morning.
Moreover, Chairman FBR Tariq Bajwa called on chief secretary Sindh Sajjad Saleem Hotiana and discussed the affairs of tax collection system including the few issues of Excise & Taxation. Secretary Excise & Taxation Abdul Majeed Pathan and Chairman Sindh Revenue Board Muhammad Tashfeen were also present.
Ex-Ambassador Shahid MG Kiani, an expert of Energy and Security Risk Management, also called on Chief Secretary Sindh and introduced the latest security strategy. Secretary Home Niaz Ali Abbasi and Special Secretary Energy Abubakar Madni were also presented.
Prominent social worker and journalist Abdul Ghani Nagpuri also met with Sajjad Saleem Hotiana and submitted souvenir to him on behalf of a local NGO Farzand-e-Karachi.
