ISLAMABAD: Radio Pakistan has planned special marathon transmission, “Jan Nisaroon Ko Salam”, on the occasion of golden jubilee ceremonies of 1965 war on September 6 to pay homage to valiant personnel of armed forces who dauntlessly repulsed aggression by the enemy.
The transmission will be aired on medium wave, FM-93, and FM-94 networks. Excerpts from speeches of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, messages by President, Prime Minister, and Services Chiefs, milli and war songs like Yeh Watan Tumhara Hey, Ah Watan Key Sajeeley Jawano, and eye-witness account of change of guard on tomb of Quaid-i-Azam will also be part of programme Subh-e Pakistan will be broadcast.
Address of former president, Mohammad Ayub Khan to nation during 1965 war, Milli and war songs like, Ay Dushman-e Deen Tu Ney Kis Quam Ko Lalkara, and musical feature ‘Jang Tarang’ on songs written during 1965 war will be broadcast from 08:10 a.m. to 09:00 a.m.
Special ceremony scheduled at GHQ, special talks, songs, and impressions of common people will be aired between 09:10 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Interviews of Ghazis , special talk ‘National Action Plan Per Mukamal Ham Ahangi,’ special programmes to pay homage to heroes of September War, impression of the family members of 1965 war, impressions of relatives of martyrs of Zarb-e Azb, discussion programmes, and milli and war songs will be the hall mark of day long transmission. Special show on Defence Day will be aired at 08:30 p.m. followed by radio reports of ceremonies held across country in connection with Defence Day.
