Defence police claim arresting 9 criminals

KARACHI: Defence police on Monday claimed to have arrested nine alleged criminals, including one bandit, and recovered weapons, looted goods & drugs from their possession.

According to a police report, Station House Officer (SHO) Defence, Inspector, Kenson Deen, and his police party during a raid in Defence phase II extantion area, where an encounter with criminals took place after which police arrested three thieves Ramzan, Dad Mir and Abdul Mohammad. Police also recovered stolen tape recorders of cars, LCD and two pistols from their possession.

Arrested accused used to steal vehicle goods from worshiper’s vehicles during every Friday prayers and sell those, while during remaining days, they commit robberies. Police said that arrested accused had confessed to committing several crimes.

In another raid in Defence phase II, police arrested a bandit Sher Nawab and recovered a gun from his possession, while his accomplices managed to escape from the scene.

Furthermore, police arrested five criminals Nadeem, Sheraz Khan, Farhan, Abdul Waheed, and Abdul Ghani who were involved in drugs peddling and others cases. Police also recovered hashish from their possession.
