Demo against police excesses

KARACHI: Residents of Surjani Town on Saturday hold a demonstration in front of Karachi Press Club against alleged arrest of innocent people of these areas. The protesters, including women and children, were holding banners and placard and chanting slogan against police.

Talking to PPI, the protesters said that they mostly belonged to minorities and reside in Nasir Colony, Saif-ul-Mari Goth and Teaser Town.

They accused that police arrest innocent people from these areas and release them after taking bribes.

They demanded of the Governor and Chief Minister Sindh to take action against the police officials involved in this malpractice.
