Demo held against police

NAUNDERO: Journalists held a protest demonstration at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Press Club here on Sunday against the attack on a media team in Kashmore, by police which was headed by SHO Zia Noonari.

The protesters chanted slogans, holding placards in their hands. Abdul Qadir Odho, Samad Dawoodpoto, Rahmat Morio, Saleem Solangi, Asghar Abbasi, Mansoor Soomro and other said that cops had lost their temper as their corruption is always exposed by the Journalists due to which they mostly make media persons target and beat them mercilessly like enemies.

hey said that if no action is taken against the concerned corrupt policemen, then they will consider that influential people have the complete support of the government which is condemn-able. They demanded of higher authorities to take notice of the highhandedness of the relevant cops and take urgent action against those involved in suppressing the voice of the people.
