ISLAMABAD: Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani is arriving here today (Monday) for a two-day visit on the invitation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
The Emir and members of his delegation will be accorded a warm welcome on arrival. Earlier, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani had visited Pakistan in 2010 in his capacity as the then Crown Prince of Qatar. It will be his first official visit to Pakistan as the Emir of Qatar.
The Emir will be accompanied by a high-level delegation including Cabinet Ministers, Chairman of Qatar Airways and senior government officials.
During the visit, the Emir will meet with President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. Both sides will discuss ways to further enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields including energy, investment, trade, defence and manpower. Regional and global issues of mutual interest and concern will also be discussed.
