District: Ex-district Nazim demands early start of Mandra, Chakwal road construction

Chakwal: Ex-Provincial minister and Ex-District Nazim Chakwal Sardar Ghulam Abbas while taking to media on Sunday at his public secretariat told that if the work on Chakwal Mandra Road would not started by 31 May, then a protest movement would be launched on 1st June, from Dhudial chowk and protest sit in would be made and line of action would be announced.

Sardar Ghulam Abbas told that rupees two billion and 100 million were dispersed by the Ex-PPP Govt. and these full funds were handed over to NLC which at started this project.

Ex-District Nazim told that more than 30% worked have been initiated but after this the present govt. have stopped the work on this project in the guise that superior judiciary have stayed this project. Sardar Ghulam Abbas was of the view that nothing is pending in the superior judiciary and the work have been stopped on mallified intention.

He told more than 30 persons have been killed, more than 300 received multiple injuries while hundred of vehicles amounting millions of rupees have been destroyed on this road. He was confident that civil society, religious organizations and other political groups would support him on this protest.
