District: (Police arrest fleeing Patwari)

SIALKOT: Daska City police on Thursday arrested the fleeing accused Patwari got freed from the custody of raiding team of Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) by his more than 20 companions.

According to the FIR (No. 145/2015), a team of ACE Gujranwala led by Rana Muhamamd Naeem (Circle Officer ACE) and a local magistrate Muhammmad Zeeshan arrested an accused Patwari Muhamamd Yousaf in a bribery case from near Canal Bridge BRB Daska and recovered the money from him taken as bribe.

On this, the accused Patwari raised his alarm and called his companions to save him and free him from the ACE team custody. FIR revealed that as many as twenty armed Habib, Muneer and Aslam, armed with the iron rods, attacked the ACE team. They beat the ACE officials and got the accused Patwari freed from ACE team custody and fled away. Later, the Daska City police re-arrested the fleeing accused after chasing him.

On the report of Rana Muhamamd Naeem (Circle Officer ACE Gujranwala), the City Daska police have registered a case under sections 148, 149, 186, 224, 225, and 353 PPC and sent the accused behind the bars. Further investigations are underway.
