District: Punjab government keen to eliminate the role of middlemen

Sialkot: MPA Muhammad Asif Bajwa has said that on the special directives of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, the provincial government has made some effective measures to curb menace of middlemen, besides, protecting the rights of the small wheat growers by ensuring the direct purchase of the wheat from the growers, in this regard.

He stated this while talking to the wheat growers during his visit to official wheat procurement centre at Daska here today. Sialkot DCO Iftikhar Ali Sahu, DOC Malik Abid Hussain Awan and Assistant Commissioner Daska Zulfiqar Ahmed Bhoon were also present on this occasion.

They checked the quality of the wheat yield and examined the process of issuing gunning bags and purchase of wheat yield there. They listened the problems and complaints of the wheat growers and issued on the spot directions for their early solution
