SIALKOT: The Punjab government has established the office of Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) at Gujranwala and also deputed a revenue commissioner.
The revenue commissioner will ensure early recovery of the outstanding dues as 5% sales from services-providing 32 institutions including marriage halls, banquet halls, hotels, restaurants , educational institutions, private hospitals and clinics in Gujranwala Region’s all the six Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahaud Din , Hafizabad and Gujranwala districts here.
Punjab government has also deputed Grade 20 officer Abdul Jawad as PRA Divisional Commissioner in Gujranwala. The early establishment of PRA office at Gujranwala had been the demand of the day. Earlier, the PRA teams from Lahore had to visit this region for the collection of the sales taxes as well.
