District: (Rich tributes paid to late Asad Sahi in memorial reference held at Daska)

SIALKOT: The speakers paid rich tributes to deceased journalist Asad Abbas Sahi during a memorial reference held at his native town Mandraanwala near Daska here on Sunday.

Local NGO “Waseela Foundation Daska” organized this condolence reference in memory of Late Asad Abbas Sahi. The speakers including Husnain Sahi (father of Asad Sahi), Aoun Sahi (brother of Asad Sahi), Prof. Mrs. Mumtaz Chatta (Chairperson NGO Waseela Foundation Daska) Prof. Ghulam Ghaus Cheema, Prof. Muhamamd Riaz Cheema, Prof. Waqar Cheema, Prof. Mohammad Ramzan Cheema, Prof. Arshad Mehmood Mirza, Abdul Shakur Mirza and senior journalists from Daska, Sialkot, Lahore and Islamabad shared their sweet memories with Asad Sahi.

They paid rich tributes to Late Asad Abbas Sahi for his meritorious services towards journalism. The participants also unanimously passed to establish Asad Sahi Memorial Trust at his town Mandraanwala-Daska, saying that the trust would work for promotion of education and women empowerment in the region. Quran Khawani and Fateha was also held for the eternal peace of the departed soul there.
