District: (Senior officials directed to launch crackdown against the quacks)

SIALKOT: District Drug Task Force Sialkot has directed the concerned senior officials of the Sialkot health department to launch an urgent vigorous crackdown against the quacks, clinics and medical stores, which have been playing with the precious human lives by selling, supplying and using the expired and veterinary medicines on human being in Sialkot district’s all the four Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur tehsils here.

Chairman District Drug Task Force Sialkot and MPA Ch. Tariq Akhtar Subhani presided over the meeting. Sialkot EDO (Health) Dr. Javaid Warraich, District Drug Controller Sialkot Naila Arshad, President Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Sialkot Dr. Munawar Hussain and other officials also attended the meeting.

MPA Ch. Tariq Akhtar Subhani also directed the concerned officials of the health department to jazz up the pace of inspection of all the medical stores and clinics in Sialkot district, saying that the quacks and the medical stores selling the expired and prohibited medicines are playing with the precious lives of the people.

He said that the elements directly or indirectly involved in this nasty practice were the killers of the humanity. He said that the quacks should be brought to task after getting the cases registered against them, in this regard.
