Drive against unregistered vehicles launched

Karachi:,,, On the directives of Sindh Minister for Excise Taxation and Narcotics Mukesh Kumar Chawla, a road checking drive and campaign against unregistered vehicles hasbeen launched throughout the province from May 19 by the Motor Registration Wing of Excise & Taxation Department.

As many as 2467 vehicles were checked in Karachi by a team headed by Deputy Director Motor Registration Wing Riaz Khoso. 628 vehicles were found without documents and Rs.315,291 along with penalties were recovered from them.

The road checking campaign also took place in Hyderabad, Sukur, Larkana and Mirpurkhas divisions. The documents of 1034 vehicles were impounded during road checking from Hyderabad to Mirpurkhas and Rs,2,163,863 recovered from them along with penalty.
