DUHS inaugurates Dow Laboratory Collection Center

KARACHI: To provide reliable, high quality and timely reporting diagnostic services of International standard for all possible tests for the people of interior Sindh, Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) today inaugurated Dow Diagnostic Research & Reference Laboratory (DDRRL) Collection Center in Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas.

DDRRL has been established to provide reliable, high quality diagnostic services for all possible tests at extremely economical rates. Besides the main lab, there are three collection centres at different locations.

The ceremony was inaugurated by DUHS Vice Chancellor Prof Masood Hameed Khan. Other senior faculty members were also present on the occasion.

DUHS VC speaking on the occasion said that this collection point had been specifically designed to function as an efficient laboratory more than able to serve the needs of the customers.

He further said that the university’s objective is to provide high-quality care that is convenient and easily accessible to larger populations that reside in areas distant from the main campus. DUHS strives to provide reliable diagnostic laboratory test services which are not commonly available at other laboratories to the community in general at affordable cost and to assist Researchers by providing quality services on newly developed Clinical kits and products.

This Collection Center is equipped with the most modern equipment and also provides research facilities as well. The blood samples collected at the unit will be sent to the main laboratory.
