DUHS to hold first-ever Health Innovation Exhibition

KARACHI: Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) Karachi in collaboration with Distinguished Innovation, Collaboration and Entrepreneurship (DICE) USA is organizing a two-day first-ever All Pakistan DUHS – DICE Health Exhibition from August 21st to 22nd August at Expo Centre Karachi.

The aim of the holding exhibition is to provide a platform to medical and biomedical students to showcase their innovations and technologies, share knowledge and collaborate for the rapid development of innovative products, necessary for the economic development of the country. Governor Sindh & Chancellor, DUHS will inaugurate the 2-day exhibition on Friday 21st August at Expo Centre.

Prof Dr Rana Qamar Masood, Chairperson of the Exhibition, informed that since long overseas Pakistani working in the field of medical and biomedical are willing to bring health related innovations and technologies to Pakistan. To foster culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in the country, DICE is signing an MoU with Dow University on Thursday 20th August 201 in the presence of Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah.

She further informed that this two-day exhibition is combine blend of competition, scientific sessions and continued medical education program. Student working in the field of medical, engineering, biomedical will be showcasing their projects. The Dow University will also showcase its innovations. The exhibition will motivate professionally educated youth to generate innovative ideas and utilize currently available state of art technologies and software for practically possible development of health related products and services.
