ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar has said that government would continue to pursue its policy to bring further macro-economic stability and to overcome energy shortages in the country.
In a statement here Sunday, he said Income Support Fund of the government has been increased from Rs 30 to Rs 95 billion in first 13 months. He said government was equally focusing on the electoral reforms agenda through a parliamentary committee.
He said political parties and stakeholders should work for consensus on a Charter of Economy, adding that government was trying to ensure implementation of its economic policies for the betterment of masses in the country.
He said speedy work was in progress in reviewing and finalizing 1,283 proposals received from different stakeholders to make certain changes in the Constitution for better economy of the country.
