Eight killed as van falls into ravine in Neelum Valley

Islamabad: Eight passengers have died and six others sustained injuries as a Jagraan-bound jeep fell into a deep ravine in Neelum Valley on Tuesdat. The jeep was going to Kundal Shahi from Jagraan. Rescue teams arrived at the spot and carried out rescue operation.

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Abdul Majeed and Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif expressed their deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in jeep accident in Neelum Valley. Chaudhry Abdul Majeed also directed for immediate inquiry of the accident. He also announced compensation of 150,000 rupees the heirs of deceased and 50,000 rupees each for the injured.
