Eight killed in Karachi violence

KARACHI: Four dead bodies were found from Quaidabad and Surjani Town areas of Karachi whereas four more persons were shot dead and two others injured in different violence incidents in the city on Saturday.

The bodies of two men were found from a car in Surjani Town area of the city. They were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities. Their hands and legs were tied with rope. Later, they were identified as 30-year-old Muhammad Danish, and Waheed, 25, residents of New Karachi locality.

According to police, bullet riddled bodies of two more men were found from Madina Colony in Quaidabad. They were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for post-mortem examination. Police are investigating into the matter. The identity of the victims could not be ascertained yet.

Separately, a 28-year-old man, Sajid, was found dead in Orangi Town Sector No-5. The body was shifted to ASH for an autopsy. He was shot dead, police said.

Syed Hanif Shah, 45, and Sabir, 40, were killed when unknown armed men opened fire on them at Rais Amrohvi Colony in Orangi Town Sector No-14. The bodies were shifted to ASH for medico-legal formalities.

An unidentified man aged 28, was shot dead by unknown armed motorcycle riders at Qaddafi Town in Landhi. The body was brought to JPMC for postmortem examination.

A teenager boy, Sher Zada, 17, was shot and injured in Muzaffarabad Colony, Landhi. He was rushed to JPMC for treatment.

Tahir, 24, was shot and injured by unidentified armed men in Quaidabad near Murgi Khana Stop. The injured was shifted to JPMC for treatment.
