Dhaka: England Disability cricket team defeated Pakistan by 19 runs in the summit clash of the inaugural ICRC International T20 Cricket Tournament for People with Physical Disability at BKSP Ground3 here on Thursday.
After captain I. Nair won the toss and chose to bat first, England put on board 175- 4 in stipulated 20 overs. Callum Flynn batted well for the side and scored unbeaten 45 off 29 balls. Gordon Laidlaw scored 40 off 31balls while Alex Hammond made 30 off 28 balls. Jahanzaib Tiwana, Fayyaz Ahmed and Abdullah Ejaz took one wicket each.
Pakistan in their turn scored 156-8 using the allotted quota of 20 overs. Rehan Ghani was the top scorer for the side with 36 off 25 balls. Skipper Hasnain Alam scored 26 off 14 balls while Nihar Alam also contributed 26 off 25 balls.
