Peshawar: Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Education Mohammad Atif Khan has said that every penny of national exchequer was the sacred trust of the people and it would be spent on their welfare irrespective of personal likes and dislikes, as welfare of the masses was dearer to us.
This, he stated, while chairing a meeting regarding development of Mardan district, at Peshawar on Thursday. The meeting beside others, was also attended by the Additional Secretary Education Qaiser Alam, Chairman BISE, Mardan, D.G PDA, DC Mardan and authorities concerned of the relevant departments.
The meeting besides reviewing the pace of work on the proposed beautification plan of Mardan, Establishment of Mardan Model School and construction of Sports Complex under BISE Mardan, also discussed the progress on new and on-going schemes in the district and took certain decisions in this respect.
The Education Minister while, directing the acceleration on people welfare projects, asked the authorities concerned to ensure timely completion of developmental projects without compromise on quality and standard of the works. He further directed to ensure judicious use of each and every penny in the supreme interest of the common man.
The Minister maintained that he was committed to make Mardan a Model district in all respect for the entire Province and for this purpose availability of required funds would be ensured at all cost. He further said that projects of billions of rupees were underway to change the fate of the people of Mardan.
Atif added that Rs.500 million have been earmarked for launching of small projects in the district and sites for that were being identified. As and when this process was completed, immediate work on these projects would be taken in hand without any delay, he concluded.
