Karachi: In spite of brilliant bowling by Arish Ali, who returned with bowling figures of 4-16, Bilal Friends Cricket Club lost the final by two wickets to Faisal Gymkhana in the second edition of Sharif Khan Memorial Festival T-20 Cricket Tournament here at Quaid-e-Azam Park Cricket Stadium.
Bilal Friends CC batted first in the match and put on board 143 runs losing all of their wickets in 33.1 overs. Zohaib Khalid batted well for the side scoring 69 off 65 balls. Tehmoor Ali contributed 28 runs. Skipper Naeem Maswani returned with match figures of 3-16. Salman Khan captured 3-33 while Anis Shaikh took 2-7.
Faisal Gymkhana in reply, reached the victory total in 34.1 overs losing eight of their wickets. Mohammad Rashid batted well for the side scoring 62 runs off 71 balls. Slow left arm bowler Arish Ali grabbed 4-13 and all-rounder Tehmoor Ali took 2-29.
The tournament was organized in memory of late Sharif Khan, the elder brother of Test batsman and former Pakistan skipper Younus Khan.
