Karachi: Fazal Subhan played a brilliant 103-run knock with the help of ten boundaries and three sixes and led Pakistan Cricket Club to a massive 195-run triumph against Qasmi Gymkhana to reach the final of KCCA Zone VI Daud Khan Memorial Cricket Tournament here at KCCA Gymkhana.
Pakistan Cricket Club batted first in the match and put on board 301-7 in allotted 35 overs – thanks to Fazal for his impressive 103-run knock which came off only 68 balls. Afzal Khan and Hakeem Abid Qasmi took three wickets each for Qasmi Gymkhana.
Qasmi Gymkhana in response scored 106 runs losing all of their wickets in 27.4 overs. Abdul Rehman top scored for the side with 23 runs. Junaid Ilyas bowled lethally and captured a four-wicket haul.
In the summit clash, Pakistan CC will face Alamgir Gymkhana who thrashed Metropolitan Cricket Club by 179 runs at Afza Cricket Ground.
Alamgir Gymkhana batted first in the match and put on board 267-5 in 40 overs. Usman Khan batted well for the side scoring 87 runs with the help of seven boundaries and three sixes. Syed Faraz Ali scored 52 while Saud Shakil scored 49. Osama Adnan captured three wickets.
Metropolitan Cricket Club in their turn scored a paltry total of 88 losing all of their wickets in 23.2 overs. Fahaddis Bukhari top scored for the side with 21 runs. Imran Dad Khan and Ahsan Ali took three wickets each.
