Federal Secretary, economic affairs visits

KARACHI: Federal Secretary, Economics Affairs Division, Tariq Bajwa today called on Chief Secretary Sindh, Muhammad Siddiqui Memon in Sindh Secretariat. They discussed various issues on Sindh Development projects. Later a meeting held to review the progress of Foreign Aided Projects in Sindh linked to the loans / credit of World Bank, Asian Development Bank, Korean & Chinese Loan, including the grants of USAID, JICA and UNDP.

Additional Chief Secretary (P&D), Aijaz Ali Khan briefed about various projects of the Departments of Agriculture, Education, Health, Transport, Works & Services and other Departments.

Federal Secretary, referring to the issues assured that the problems mostly have been resolved, while others are in process.

Chief Secretary noted that all projects must be strengthened systematically; he emphasized all the Provincial Secretaries and Project Directors to establish the Project Monitoring Unit (PMU) and prioritize the line of action.

Secretaries of Education, Agriculture, Health and Transport also attended the meeting. Secretary Implementation, Rashid Hussain Kazi was also present.
