Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Finance, Muzaffar Said Advocate on Wednesday has formally launched Online Grievances Redressal System in the Finance department at Civil Secretariat Peshawar in order to boost efficiency and bring transparency in financial system.
The newly developed online system was launched during a special ceremony held in the Conference Room of a Finance department here. Ex MNA, Sabir Hussain Awan, Secretary For Finance, Syed Badshah Bokhari and other high ups of the Finance department attended the ceremony.
Minister For Finance while lauding, the online redressal system asked the concerned quarters to make the system practically accessible and beneficial for the people to help in redressal of the problems faced by them. “Make it a revolutionary effort to ensure justice to the people”, he maintained.
The minister urged the need of proper monitoring of the system to come to the expectations of the people attached to it. He went on to say that masses were facing enormous problems as the existing system inserting faults. “Make it efficient, so the problems of the people can be solved easily”, he asserted.
Muzaffar emphasized the need of making the online grievance redressal system an exemplary one for other departments and provinces. Muzaffar said asked the public servants to discharge their duties with honesty to get pleasure of God. He also appreciated the efforts of the It experts of the department for devising the system.
Secretary, Finance, Syed Badshah Bokhari while commenting on the online grievances Redressal system, said that it was part of the reforms agenda of the present government which would help in bringing transparency in the department.
Saifur Rahman Usmani, Director, FMIU, Finance Department while highlighting salient features of the online grievance redressal system said that it would ensure easy access to financial information, shorten the lengthy process and save time and money. He disclosed that the system would provide access to knowing the funds releases position, inquiring about rules and regulations and solving the individual problems.
Similarly, he said that the system would facilitate online budget checking and linking district account offices and local funds. He informed that lodging complaints and the in-time response through email would be main features of the system. “General public, Govt. Departments, public servants and business community will would benefit from it”, he explained.
