Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Finance, Muzaffar Said Advocate has ordered preparation of a summary for the reinstatement of the terminated male mobilizers of Population Welfare Department for the approval of Chief Minister within three days.
He issued these directives while chairing a high level meeting convened to discuss mean and ways for reinstatement of the terminated male mobilizers of the Population Department at Civil Secretariat Peshawar on Tuesday.
The meeting besides others was also attended by Director General Population Welfare Department and high ups of the Finance Department of the province. On this occasion, the terminated male mobilizers apprised the Minister of their problems and demanded immediate remedial steps.
They informed that their services were handed over to the province by the Federal Government after 18th Constitutional Amendment. They went on to say that due to unknown reasons, their services were terminated. They told the minister that their reinstatement would not be financial burden for the province.
Muzaffar Said Advocate said on the occasion that the provincial government never wanted to make employees jobless. He lauded male mobilizers for rendering services despite deteriorated law and order situation in the province. He lamented over the fact that though majority of the male mobilizers were graduate but still their salaries were just seven thousand per month. “which is too much meager,” he asserted.
He assured the affected male mobilizers that their problems would be considered over seriously and sympathetically. The Finance Minister directed high ups of the population welfare and Finance Department to prepare proper summary for reinstatement and enhancement of the salaries the male mobilizers within three days. He also assured that the summary will be forwarded to the Chief Minister of the province for formal approval.
