Five alleged terrorists killed in encounter with rangers

KARACHI: Rangers claimed to have killed five alleged terrorists in an encounter in Keamari, while two rangers personnel were injured, here on Wednesday morning.

According to Rangers spokesman, operation was carried out on a tip-off that suspected terrorists were present at Tapo area in Keamari. As rangers raided the hideout, the suspects opened fire and threw hand grenades on them. The rangers also retaliated fire in which five suspects were killed.

The killed suspects were identified as Fahad, Umer, Talha Qaiser, Abdur Raoof and Javed Hasnain. The bodies were brought to Civil Hospital Karachi for autopsies.

The rangers also claimed recovering five hand grenades from the possession of suspects.

According to Rangers, suspects were members of banned outfit.
