Five killed, three injured in city voilence

KARACHI: Five people were killed and three others injured in different violence incidents in the metropolis on Monday.

The body of an unknown tortured woman, aged about 40, was recovered near Sir Syed police station in North Karachi. It was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for an autopsy.

A man, Rashid, 32, son of Manaqib was killed by unknown gunmen in Sector 5-A 1, New Karachi. The body was shifted to ASH for medico-legal formalities.

According to rescue sources, the body of a man, was recovered near Landhi Railway Station. It was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for a postmortem. The identification of deceased did not ascertain yet.

Rescue sources informed that the body of a youth, aged about 18, was recovered from Surjani Nullah in New Karachi area. It was shifted to Edhi morgue.

In another firing incident, a youth, Arsalan, aged about 23, was killed by unknown gunmen in Chai Street in Soldier Bazar 3. The body was shifted Civil Hospital Karachi for an autopsy.

A youth, Yousaf Haleem, 17, was shot and injured by unknown gunmen in Shireen Villas, Aath Chowk in Lyari. He was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for treatment.

In another incident, Riaz, 30, son of Abdur Rahman was injured when unknown armed men opened fire on him near Telephone Exchange in Garden. He was brought to CHK for treatment.

Ahsan, 32, son of Imran was wounded to bullets by unknown armed men near Mohammadi Masjid in Model Colony. He was rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for treatment.
